Yes! We frequently host “From an Insider” webinars where we have an alum as a guest. This is a great way to ask questions and have them answered live in a group setting. If you prefer a one-on-one conversation, just reach out to admissions and they will connect you with a graduate.
Yes! Trinity’s accreditation by CAAM-HP, the primary accrediting authority for Caribbean medical schools, enables our graduates to participate in the residency match processes in the United States and Canada, as well as apply for residencies and licensure in both countries.
Yes. Trinity has students in residency and/or practicing in provinces across Canada.
Prior to matriculation, Trinity’s MD program requires:
- 90 credit hours (or equivalent) from a regionally-accredited undergraduate institution
- Verifiable score(s) on the MCAT exam (required for U.S. students)
- Prerequisite Courses:
- General Biology – Two academic terms or equivalent.
- General Chemistry – Two academic terms or equivalent.
- General Physics – Two academic terms or equivalent.
- Behavioral Science – One academic term. An Introduction to Sociology or Psychology would fulfill this requirement. Other Behavioral Science courses may fulfill this requirement.
- Mathematics – One academic term of college-level mathematics (trigonometry, analytic geometry, precalculus, or statistics is highly recommended).
- English Composition – Two academic terms or equivalent. Courses other than composition with significant expository writing experience will fulfill this requirement. ESL or TESOL courses may not be used to satisfy this requirement.
Advanced placement credits can be used to satisfy some of these requirements.
Prerequisite science and math courses must have been completed within the last 10 years before the application date. Older courses will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Two individual letters of recommendation or one committee letter from your pre-health advising office.
Academic performance is obviously an important factor. That said, Trinity places a premium on student experience, character, leadership, communication skills, drive, and passion, recognizing that sometimes grades don’t paint the entire picture.
